| Twas the day before Christmas, Santa's taking a Nap;
Dressed in his Long Johns and his Little Night Cap.
He set the alarm for a Quarter Past Eight;
But He's overslept and now He is Late.
He jumps from His chair and turns all about;
Lighting the Candle, He says with a Shout.
"I must hurry and pack all the Toys;
And check the List for the Good Girls and Boys".
He put on His Boots to hook up the Sleigh;
Grabbed the Toy Sack to get on His way.
The air had a chill on this Christmas Eve Night;
And He felt a draft that didn't feel right.
The Sleigh was ready and packed with care;
As Santa stood Chuckling in his Long Underwear!
Getting ready for his journey, his canvas bag is filed with a tree, brass horn, hand crafted bear and doll. Also in the sack are 5 of my grubby waxed Candy Canes.
The little wooden Rocking Horse is made from Barn wood and measures 6" x 20".Santa stands 45" tall and is wearing a tailored pair of men's Red Long Johns and a pair of rubber boots that have been weight to be able to stand. I needle sculpted his nose, brows, lips and even wrinkles. His hair and flowing white beard are felted from soft Angora Wool. The big gentle eyes are Hand Painted.
His wired fingers holds an electric Candle Light in one hand and the other an old Alarm clock. The list of good girls and boys made from muslin is draped over his shoulder and flowing on the floor.
Any of you who have seen or have bought my free standing Santa's in the past know the quality and detail each one beholds. They are truly one of a kind piece and comes signed and dated. He will arrive in two packages.
